CashBack Hospital Plan

		The Standard Bank CashBack Hospital plan provides you and your family with a daily cash benefit for every day you spend in hospital in the event of an accident or illness. This plan has been designed in conjunction with Hollard Life Assurance Company Limited for our customers between the ages of 18 and 59, and pays cash benefits of up to R270 000 from the first day of hospitalisation for both accidents and illnesses. Remember you also receive up to 50% of your premiums back every five years, whether you have claimed or not. The Standard Bank CashBack Hospital Plan is underwritten by The Hollard Insurance Company Limited.

A choice of fourteen different benefit levels - starting from R200 up to R1500 a day for each family member.
Cash back - whether or not you claim. You'll receive up to 50% of your premiums back every five years.
Double benefits while travelling abroad - your chosen benefit amount doubles if you need to be hospitalised while travelling outside South Africa for less than three months.
Your cover starts from the first successful premium collection.

Premiums are payable monthly by direct debit from your savings/current/credit card account and are due on the 1^st of every month.

Summary of benefits

Cover for life - cover continues for life, with no reduction in benefits, as long as premiums are paid every month
Cash benefits - paid directly to you for every day that you spend in hospital as a result of an accident or illness for up to six months
Worldwide cover - for 365 days a year, 24 hours a day
Guaranteed acceptance - no medical examinations required
Premiums - will not change or be adjusted as you move through the age band.

Pre-existing conditions are excluded for the first 24 months
Hospitalisation as a result of non-emergency illnesses are excluded for the first three months
HIV / Aids and Aids-related conditions
Wilful self-injury
Drug or alcohol abuse
Cosmetic or plastic surgery
Wilful exposure to danger
